hi again, things seem pretty quiet, was wondering how many people in the area actually get out? i think there is something happening 'up island' but i am not in the loop and am finding it difficult to find people to go paddling with.

i am thinking of going up to Nanaimo for sun and mon and going for a little paddle on the Nanaimo with a mate up there.

would be great if someone from Victoria could get in contact with me re other trips, i have no knowledge of the Is and don't paddle alone.

Trouble is, the site has not been promoted at all. Most of the paddlers don't yet know it is here. Steve Fisher and I are working hard to make certain more people know about it, and use it as a resource. Still, whenever a new forum starts up it is always slow going before people feel comfortable using it. I have started forums before through work, and it has always been a bit of an uphill battle to start.

The more people that paddle that know that this is here, the more that will post. It is just a matter of time.

Either way, you are certain to get out on the rivers though Steve or myself. Of course, I am stuck in Toronto until December 10th.
