Ok, here it is, the official intro. My name is David. Moved to Nanaimo a month ago for work. Waiting for the rainnnnnn to get wet. I paddled quite a bit on the mainland for the last seven years. Favorite local river: Seymour canyon. Always a nice adrenaline rush... Looking forward to surf as well. Planning to buy my first surfboard soon...

So basically, I love being in the water. Not swimming beside my kayak though... :)

Have you done the run on the kicking horse below the bridge? I have never run it, but I have stopped to look at that river every time I have driven through golden, and that area below the bridge looks really gnarly, but I hear people run it all the time.

hey george. yeah I have run that on several occasions. It's really fun at quite a few different levels. (med and low). under the bridge is actually the last drop of the middle section. it definately gets the heart pumping.
