How hard is the GOLD?

Depends on what section you run. It gets up to class IV. Some sections go V I think.

I know some parts are below III, but I have only run the Upper Gold so far, it had 2 V drops in it that we walked.

I have never run the browns, would I be better off with my Playboat or my Creeker if I can make it?

If its is flowing good ( above 30 ish cms ) I 'd go creeker and below that it has a ton of surf waves ... hell above 30 it has a ton of waves but you might want to see it first ... ( please note waterfall , large nasty hole and 150' slide ) so don't paddle a blind corner !!!
