Just visiting...

I guess I'd call myself a "visiting" member. I have family on Van Isle, and whenever I'm visiting I try to get out paddling. So far have kayaked Cowichan and Nanaimo R., and surfed at Jordan River and Tofino.

I'll be in the Campbell River area (staying at Strathcona Park Lodge) from Monday to Thursday next week if anyone wants to get out paddling. I'm up for most anything, up to class IV, but just as happy to get out for an easy float.

If interested, reply or pm before Sunday night. Not sure how easy it'll be to reach me at SPL.

I would happily lend you gear, but I am heading back to Ontario on Sunday for work. And I can't paddle until my collarbone heals up. I know that there is a trip going on on the Gold, but depending on what part of it, it could be up to IV+.

There is always a group that does the Cowichan on the weekends though.

I might be interested in the running the Cowichan again, it's been a few years. Any idea who and when?
