We are more than willing to show paddlers the ropes out here on the west coast. When the rivers drop again, get in touch with us about some ocean surfing. Lots of fun - and an easy way to practice your roll (a lot!)

I still consider myself a beginner, even though I've been sea kayaking for years. I've done a few rivers here and there and surfed the west coast. I would like to run some of the island rivers though and do some flatwater practice.
I'm in Victoria and have access to 3 boats and all the gear needed (except extra clothing). I am probably gonna head out to Elk Lake once per week during the summer to work on my skills if anyone wants to join me.

I just got a new boat.. looking for people to go with ..... being new .. it is hard to find people :P

You will find that the paddlers on the island are a friendly bunch, you should not have trouble finding people to go with. Now, finding WATER that is running is a different challenge altogether...
