Just a quick reminder that the 4th Annual Puntledge River Festival is right around the corner - May 31st and June 1st.
There is a guaranteed release of water - a nice change from this very dry Spring! :D
If you haven't preregistered, there will be registration Friday, May 30st and Sat May 31st at the Maple Pool Campsite. As a condition of providing the water, BC Hydro requires all paddlers to be registered.) Locals need to bring their ID for a special discount rate!
The big news is that thevenue has changed to Maple Pool Campsitewww.maplepoolcampsite.com on Headquarters Road. The campsite is not as fancy as Puntledge RV, but paddlers who are not camping, will be able to join in the festivities until the gate closes at 11 pm.
Paddlers who are camping will just need to sign in at the VIWPS registration desk to get a site. If you require a power hook up, please contact Christine Brice (me!) at s-kayak@island.net.
