Now that the Browns water levels are all messed up, it's a lot harder to determine when to paddle it. Well through some hard time spent researching how rain is formed, what causes rivers to flood and the perfect way to grill steaks (I was getting hungry), I found out a couple ways to tell if the browns is good.
10 cms is around 1.8 on the river guage and that is a super low level to paddle.
15 cms is around 1.9 (1.65 to be exact) and is a fun level.
MAKE SURE YOU SCOUT THE WATERFALL AND DROP AFTER. The waterfall has a log in it right now but can be still run river right as long as you dont screw up. The drop after the waterfall was clean as of the 6th of January but you never know what the rains may bring. If that waterfall cleans up, I would question where that log ends up.
Safe kayaking and remember to organize safety signals BEFORE getting on the river.
